A graduate of the University of Houston College of Pharmacy, Chau received her Bachelor of Science degree and graduated Cum Laude in December 1997. While in pharmacy school, she was an active member of Rho Chi and Kappa Epsilon.

Chau first met Jennifer Gimon at a local independent pharmacy where Jennifer served as Chau’s preceptor for one of her pharmacy rotations. Chau helped formulate and implement flavors that are more palatable for cats in suspensions. These flavors are still being used today at BCP Veterinary Pharmacy. She also has experience in formulating fertility medicines.

After graduation, Chau worked for a national chain pharmacy for seven years as Assistant Pharmacy Manager. At the retail pharmacy, Chau and her partner began compounding transdermal gels to treat nausea and vomiting in children and adults in an attempt to introduce more compounding into the retail setting.

Chau appreciates that through the art of compounding and individualized dosing, optimal therapeutic outcomes for patients can be achieved. Chau was glad to join the BCP Veterinary Pharmacy staff where she can practice this art.
